AI Security Research Director
Job Summary
Leading the Sysdig Threat Research Team, the full-time AI Security Research Director will manage adversary research and detection engineering, focusing on AI-related threats and AI-driven research methods while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end Threat Research process, including setting the research agenda and detection content roadmap
- Develop capabilities against AI security threats, converting findings into detection mechanisms and public research outputs
- Lead a team of researchers and engineers, guiding their technical direction and ensuring high-quality detection content
Required qualifications
- 10+ years in security research or detection engineering, with 4+ years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated original AI security research with published work or shipped detections
- Hands-on experience in coding, tooling, and analysis related to AI security
- Depth of knowledge in Linux, container, Kubernetes, and cloud internals
- Experience managing research agendas alongside customer-driven detection queues
