AI Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Designing and building multi-agent systems for NASA's Text-to-Spaceship initiative, the full-time AI Systems Engineer will create AI-driven workflows that convert natural language mission requirements into validated spacecraft designs, working remotely with a focus on automation and integration of engineering tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate physical constraints and mechanical properties into structured outputs and agent guardrails for AI systems
• Design automated workflows for Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to validate AI-generated designs
• Serve as the human-in-the-loop expert to vet AI-generated structural designs and improve evaluation frameworks

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a software engineer in aerospace, defense, or similar sectors with knowledge of the hardware engineering lifecycle
• Hands-on experience with scripting APIs of engineering tools like Autodesk Fusion 360 or ANSYS
• Familiarity with aerospace-grade materials and their properties
• Experience with AWS services and architecture, with familiarity in other cloud providers being a plus
• Real-world experience with Python and a strong grasp of API design and containerization
