AI Systems Engineering Instructor

Job Summary

To support a growing program for experienced engineers transitioning into system architecture roles, the part-time AI Systems Engineering Instructor will host live sessions, review student projects, and provide architectural feedback while setting technical standards for supporting instructors in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Host weekly live sessions focused on system design and architectural decision-making
• Review student projects against established rubrics and provide in-depth architectural feedback
• Run mock architecture review boards and provide structured critiques to students

Required qualifications

• 5+ years as a senior software/systems architect or senior backend/infrastructure engineer
• Experience designing and shipping systems at scale in a professional setting
• Depth of knowledge in system design, API architecture, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform)
• Ability to explain architectural decisions and critique designs effectively
• Strong English proficiency for instruction and feedback in a US-based context
