AI Systems Engineering Instructor

Job Summary

To support a growing program for experienced engineers transitioning into system architecture roles, the part-time AI Systems Engineering Instructor will host live sessions, provide architectural feedback on student projects, and lead office hours while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Host weekly live sessions focused on design decisions and system architecture
• Review student projects against established rubrics and provide detailed architectural feedback
• Set technical standards and act as an escalation point for a team of supporting instructors

Required qualifications

• 5+ years as a senior software/systems architect, platform engineer, or senior backend/infrastructure engineer
• Experience designing and shipping systems at scale in a professional setting
• Depth in system design, API architecture, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems
• Ability to explain architectural decisions and critique designs effectively
• Strong command of English at a C1+ level for instruction and feedback
