AI Tooling Engineer

Job Summary

To drive AI integration across the organization, the full-time AI Tooling Engineer will build internal tools and prototypes, manage cross-organizational projects from concept to production, and establish reusable patterns that enhance AI capabilities within the company.

Key responsibilities

• Own ambiguous, cross-org AI projects by identifying key problems and driving them from prototype to production
• Build and ship a high volume of internal applications and automations, iterating with users to achieve production quality
• Define reusable patterns and shared infrastructure to facilitate faster and safer development across the organization

Required qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with current generation AI tools and production patterns, including prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
• Proven experience in systems integration, connecting AI with real data through APIs and connectors
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and raise the technical bar for teams beyond personal output
• Strong communication skills to translate non-technical user needs into effective software solutions
• A proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and implementing fixes collaboratively
