Job Summary
To support advanced nuclear technology projects, the part-time Air Modeling and Radiological Dose Assessment Consultant will perform radiological air emissions modeling, conduct dose assessments, and prepare environmental reports remotely on a project-based consulting basis.
Key responsibilities
- Perform radiological air emissions modeling using CAP88-PC and conduct public and environmental dose assessments
- Evaluate source terms, release scenarios, and exposure pathways while preparing technical memoranda documenting methodologies and results
- Support responses to client and regulatory comments and provide technical recommendations on regulatory requirements and best practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience in radiological dose assessments and environmental air modeling
- Demonstrated proficiency with CAP88-PC and experience with atmospheric dispersion analyses for nuclear facilities
- Strong understanding of radiological exposure pathways and federal radiological protection standards
- Experience preparing technical reports for regulatory or environmental review
