Job Summary
A company is looking for an Adjunct Faculty member to teach an online course on Aircraft Airworthiness Engineering Principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Study and teach guiding, physical, and scientific principles related to airworthiness requirements of aircraft
- Explore flight dynamics, mission operations, maintenance, and life cycle environments as they relate to airworthiness certification requirements
- Address principles of aircraft mission definition, systems and components design, substantiation, validation, manufacture, and serviceability
Required Qualifications:
- Hold a minimum of a PhD in a technical field with related airworthiness experience
- Hold FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER), FAA Authorized Representative (AR), or documented military airworthiness authority experience
- Have experience in research, development, and application programs related to Airworthiness Engineering
- Be an active member in professional organizations in engineering
- Hold a degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, Airworthiness Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Physics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering, Physics, Structural Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Transportation & Highway Engineering
