Job Summary

A company is looking for an AIX Support Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Administer IBM AIX 7.2, manage PowerVM/LPARs, and execute OS and firmware updates
Provide Tier-3 escalation support for outages, perform capacity monitoring, and recommend optimizations
Collaborate on SAN integrations, operate IBM Spectrum Protect for backups, and create automation scripts

Required Qualifications

Experience with IBM AIX 7.2 and PowerVM/LPARs
Knowledge of SAN integrations and disaster recovery processes
Familiarity with scripting languages such as shell or Ansible
Experience in performance management and incident resolution
Ability to create and maintain documentation and runbooks
