AIX Systems Administrator

Job Summary

Administering and supporting IBM AIX, UNIX, and Linux server environments, the full-time Sr AIX Systems Administrator will perform system installations, configurations, and upgrades while ensuring high availability and security in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support AIX and Linux server environments
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams for system integration and optimization

Required qualifications

• Hands-on experience with IBM AIX administration and UNIX server environments
• Strong experience supporting Linux environments (e.g., RHEL, CentOS)
• Experience in enterprise system administration and application server administration
• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., shell scripting, Ansible)
• BA/BS degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
