Job Summary
Providing strategic legal guidance, the full-time Alabama Licensed Assistant General Counsel will advise business units on complex banking matters, monitor legislative developments, and manage vendor contracts in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assists business units with legal advice on banking regulations and complex business issues
- Drafts, reviews, and negotiates various vendor contracts while ensuring compliance with legal standards
- Monitors emerging legal developments and advises on necessary updates to policies and procedures
Required qualifications
- Law Degree
- Licensed in good standing to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
- Six years of legal experience in the financial services industry, regulatory agency, or law firm
- Strong knowledge of bank regulations and relevant legal practices
- Experience in contract negotiation and risk management
