Job Summary
Managing an independent caseload, the full-time Alabama Licensed Associate Attorney will handle civil cases, title curative matters, and potential eviction issues while making court appearances and collaborating with a team of lawyers and paralegals in a hybrid remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct initial intake and analysis of files, generating strategy and budget within 24 hours
- Draft civil litigation documents, including discovery and dispositive motions, and provide same-day client updates
- Review chain of title and respond to lender and agent requests promptly
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and membership in the State Bar of Alabama
- Experience in default, mortgages, and/or creditors' rights is a plus
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, with the ability to analyze case law
- Admission to the bar in other states, particularly Georgia, Texas, or Mississippi, is advantageous
- Strong writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products
