Job Summary
A company is looking for a Call Center Scheduler to manage incoming calls and appointment scheduling for clinic locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and greet patients over the phone, scheduling appointments and orienting them to services
- Document patient demographic and insurance information accurately in the Vision system
- Verify insurance pre-certification requirements and initiate the referral process as needed
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate with formal training from a vocational school or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in a call center or centralized scheduling setting
- Knowledge of general medical terminology and managed care functions
- Working knowledge of electronic health records (EHR), Vision system, and MS Office
