Job Summary
To provide clinical oversight and partnership for Nurse Practitioners in Alabama, the part-time 1099 Contract Alabama Licensed Collaborating Physician will offer guidance on patient care, conduct chart reviews, and support NP development in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the collaborating physician for Nurse Practitioners in Alabama in accordance with state Medical Board requirements
- Provide clinical consultation, guidance, and support on patient care and complex treatment plans
- Conduct chart reviews and periodic assessments to ensure compliance and quality of NP documentation
Required qualifications
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Alabama medical license
- Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in primary care or chronic disease management
- Prior experience collaborating with or supervising Nurse Practitioners
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
