Job Summary

A company is looking for a Collections Specialist I (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct tax and regulatory reviews on behalf of clients and examine taxpayer records for compliance
• Prepare for audits by reviewing relevant documents and meet with taxpayers to discuss procedures and findings
• Perform closing conferences with taxpayers to explain tax liabilities and secure agreement on findings

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required
• Knowledge or experience in state and local tax is preferred
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CFE, CMI, CTE, CRE, or CIA are preferred
• Experience with corporate accounting and finance is preferred
• Experience with compliance audits and audit defense is preferred
