Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Scientist to leverage data for strategic decisions in a public health organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance data analysis and visualization tools for public health decision-making
• Analyze public health datasets to identify gaps and inconsistencies in case classification
• Create and maintain automated crosswalks for laboratory results and design classification tools

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Epidemiology, or related field; Master's or PhD preferred
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Proficiency in Python and experience with programming languages such as SAS or R
• Experience with data manipulation tools (e.g., SQL, Pandas, NumPy) and machine learning frameworks
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and understanding of infectious disease surveillance
