Alabama Licensed Information Security Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Information Security Analyst III.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitors and evaluates security incidents, system alerts, and audit events to identify and mitigate potential threats
• Serves as an analytics resource, supporting the design and implementation of new security products and ensuring compliance with security policies
• Analyzes data from various systems to proactively search for threats and produces reports documenting security incidents and analysis results

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Information Security, or High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of experience in Information Security
• Knowledge of security event log analytics and at least two security technologies such as Firewall, Web-Proxy, or IDS/IPS
• Familiarity with at least three areas including Insider Threats, Malware Analysis, or SEIM Tuning
• Understanding of Internet Protocol Suite networking and systems administration
• Preferred: Current contractor experience with the organization
