Job Summary

To support the Alabama market, the remote Inpatient Care Management Nurse RN will assess member needs, ensure proper utilization of health services, and collaborate with healthcare professionals while working full-time hours, including regular weekend coverage rotations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform initial and concurrent reviews of inpatient cases using evidence-based criteria
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and medical directors to manage utilization and improve care progression
• Facilitate timely care and effective discharge planning while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations

Required qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of residence
• 1+ years of clinical nursing experience in an Acute Inpatient Hospital setting
• 1+ years of experience in Utilization Review utilizing InterQual Guidelines
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and clinical platforms
• Permanent residence in the Eastern Standard Time or Central Standard Time zone
