Job Summary
To support the Med/Surg unit at North Alabama Medical Center, the part-time contract Alabama Licensed Med/Surg RN will provide patient care for adult and geriatric populations, ensuring high-quality service during the 7P - 7A shift with rotating weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a Med/Surg setting, managing patient assessments and treatments
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and maintain effective communication
- Participate in the orientation and training of new staff members as needed
Required qualifications
- Current Alabama RN license
- Minimum of 5 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to float between departments as required
- Experience with Meditech electronic health records (EHR) system preferred
