Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mortgage Senior Underwriter responsible for underwriting mortgage loans to ensure compliance with investor and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite FHA, VA, and conventional mortgage loans according to investor guidelines
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and resolve post-closing issues
• Perform risk assessments of credit and collateral to maintain loan saleability

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in mortgage underwriting
• 2 years of relevant work experience plus 4-6 years of mortgage underwriting experience
• Direct Endorsement (DE) or LAPP approval preferred
• Thorough knowledge of credit risk and automated underwriting systems (DU/LP)
• Understanding of conforming and non-conforming guidelines
