Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mortgage Senior Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite conventional and government mortgage loans per product and investor guidelines
• Ensure compliance with investor requirements, federal and state laws and regulations
• Perform risk assessments of credit and collateral to ensure loan saleability and sound credit quality

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or 2 years' relevant work experience plus 4-6 years of mortgage underwriting experience
• Direct Endorsement (DE) or LAPP approval preferred
• Full knowledge of credit risk and understanding of appraisals
• Thorough knowledge of DU/LP valuations and industry tools for loan saleability
• Understanding of conforming and non-conforming guidelines
