Job Summary
A company is looking for a Fleet Consulting Motor Engineer, preferably based in Birmingham or within the SoCo footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for medium and low voltage AC and VFD motor systems across the fleet
- Oversee motor maintenance and life cycle management programs, including planning and performance monitoring
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering teams to resolve motor equipment issues
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, or Industrial Engineering preferred; alternative engineering degrees with relevant experience may be considered
- A minimum of 10 years of experience with motors is required
- Experience with various motor designs, maintenance practices, and troubleshooting techniques is highly desired
- Active leadership in relevant Professional Organizations and Technical Committees is highly desired
- PE License and/or an advanced degree relevant to motor design and application is highly desired
