Alabama Licensed Oncology Triage Nurse

Job Summary

To support patient care initiatives, the full-time Alabama Licensed Oncology Triage Nurse will conduct clinical assessments and triage patients remotely, providing guidance and care coordination through telephone and digital communication platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments and triage patients based on established protocols and clinical guidelines
• Respond to patient inquiries via inbound and outbound calls, and secure messaging portals, providing appropriate care recommendations
• Document assessments and care coordination activities accurately in electronic medical records (EMRs)

Required qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in a compact licensure state; BSN required
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in direct patient care settings, including oncology experience; OCN preferred
• Prior remote RN triage experience or experience with telephone-based care delivery strongly preferred
• Proficiency in using EMRs and standard office software
• Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with clinical protocols
