Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to manage various state and local tax filings and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares and files state and local tax returns, assessing tax implications to optimize outcomes
  • Prepares journal entries, account reconciliations, and related analysis
  • Coordinates tax payments and interacts with tax authorities and external parties


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in an insurance company's tax function or public accounting firm's tax practice
  • Experience with Premium Taxes and systems like Premium Pro or equivalent
  • Familiarity with cloud-based ERP environments, preferably Workday
  • Preferred experience with Alteryx and/or Power BI
