Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to manage various state and local tax filings and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepares and files state and local tax returns, assessing tax implications to optimize outcomes
- Prepares journal entries, account reconciliations, and related analysis
- Coordinates tax payments and interacts with tax authorities and external parties
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in an insurance company's tax function or public accounting firm's tax practice
- Experience with Premium Taxes and systems like Premium Pro or equivalent
- Familiarity with cloud-based ERP environments, preferably Workday
- Preferred experience with Alteryx and/or Power BI
