Job Summary
To ensure compliance with special education policies, the full-time Alabama Licensed Special Education Coordinator will manage relationships with state and district leaders, oversee special education reporting, and coordinate records for partner school districts in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of policies and procedures related to special education programs
- Create and maintain relationships with state, regional, and district-level special education leaders
- Track compliance dates for Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) and coordinate meetings with students and families
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Alabama Special Education Teaching Certificate
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with experience using databases
- Ability to work independently and maintain a professional home office
- Ability to clear required background check
