Alabama Licensed Underwriting Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Team Lead who will direct day-to-day underwriting operations and provide leadership to the underwriting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily underwriting operations for assigned product lines
• Serve as the primary point of contact for support staff, providing guidance and training
• Oversee the Inspections Department, ensuring timely and quality reviews of inspections

Qualifications

• 5+ years of P&C underwriting experience, preferably in coastal, HO, or E&S
• 2+ years in a supervisory or mentoring role
• Strong knowledge of ISO forms and carrier-specific guidelines
• Experience managing competing priorities and supporting cross-functional teams
• Proficiency with Excel, SharePoint, ALIS, and Power BI preferred
