Alaska Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To provide remote outpatient psychiatric care, the full-time Alaska Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will manage a caseload focusing on lower to moderate acuity populations while enjoying clinical autonomy and minimal administrative burden.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management for patients
• Maintain control over scheduling, session structure, and patient population while adhering to established clinical standards
• Utilize an integrated care model with in-house referral networks and provide operational support for scheduling and billing

Required qualifications

• Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• Active, unrestricted license with autonomous practice authority in Alaska
• A minimum of 3 years post-graduate clinical experience as a PMHNP
• Experience delivering outpatient psychiatric care, including psychoeducation and supportive therapy
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records for accurate documentation of care
