Job Summary
To provide remote outpatient psychiatric care, the full-time Alaska Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will manage a caseload focusing on lower to moderate acuity populations while enjoying clinical autonomy and minimal administrative burden.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management for patients
- Maintain control over scheduling, session structure, and patient population while adhering to established clinical standards
- Utilize an integrated care model with in-house referral networks and provide operational support for scheduling and billing
Required qualifications
- Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Active, unrestricted license with autonomous practice authority in Alaska
- A minimum of 3 years post-graduate clinical experience as a PMHNP
- Experience delivering outpatient psychiatric care, including psychoeducation and supportive therapy
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records for accurate documentation of care
