Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Alaska Licensed Workers' Comp Adjuster will analyze and adjudicate indemnity claims to ensure timely payment of benefits while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and managing proactive claims strategies.

Key responsibilities
  • Analyze and investigate indemnity claims to determine compensability decisions based on applicable laws and regulations
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with injured workers, policyholders, brokers, and agents through proactive claim management
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys, and conduct dispute resolution when necessary
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or a related field is preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience handling/adjusting workers' compensation claims is required
  • Experience with Alaska workers' compensation claims management is mandatory
  • Licensure or experience in additional states (ID, USHL&H, WARP) is highly preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of workers' compensation and familiarity with relevant regulatory bodies and their requirements
