ALC Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an ALC Developer to support and modernize legacy mainframe systems within a federal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain IBM Assembler Language Code (ALC) programs on Z/OS mainframes
• Conduct trial runs, debug programs, and ensure efficient performance
• Modify existing assembler code to meet new technical or business requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree)
• 4-8 years of experience working with ALC in a mainframe environment
• Proficient in IBM Job Control Language (JCL), TSO, ISPF, and common debugging tools
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and meet federal tax compliance requirements to qualify for MBI clearance
