Alert Management Standards Lead

Job Summary

To ensure alignment with critical operational objectives, the part-time Alert Management Standards Lead will govern the alert lifecycle, establish standards for system alerts, and collaborate with technical teams to improve alert actionability while working remotely on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the rationalization and prioritization of system alerts based on business criticality and operational impact
• Establish and enforce standards for alert severity, metadata, naming conventions, and routing
• Develop and maintain a centralized catalog of response instructions for actionable alerts

Required Qualifications

• Advanced experience with Splunk and Datadog
• Intermediate knowledge of Prometheus/Grafana and ServiceNow Event Management
• Strong understanding of incident response workflows and operational coverage models
• Proven ability to reduce noise and improve alert actionability
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
