Allowables Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Allowables Representative to provide support in managing and resolving claims issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Run specific payer under and over allowed reports for submission to carriers
• Complete necessary appeals and follow up with carriers on appeals and reports
• Consult with the Allowables Manager regarding unusual circumstances and perform additional duties as requested

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum three years of medical billing experience preferred
• Experience in Accounts Receivable or Patient Accounts is essential
• Computer literacy with preferred experience in Excel and Word
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 medical coding guidelines is beneficial
