Alternative Funding Consultant

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Alternative Funding Financial Consultant to provide strategic financial insights and advisory on self-funded and alternative funding strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert on self-funded and alternative funding strategies for mid-market and large employer groups
• Develop and refine financial models to support feasibility studies and renewal modeling
• Translate complex data into clear financial insights and contribute to client-facing strategy discussions

Required Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of experience in alternative funding, underwriting, or actuarial-adjacent roles
• Advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets for financial modeling and scenario analysis
• Hands-on experience analyzing medical claims data for mid-market and large employer groups
• Strong understanding of self-funded plan economics and stop-loss structures
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple analyses simultaneously
