Ambulatory Informaticist

Job Summary

To support the electronic health record (Epic) team, the full-time Ambulatory Informaticist will manage the development, implementation, training, and support of EHR applications while serving as a liaison between IT and end users, with a hybrid work arrangement for candidates residing in the Des Moines, IA area.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver educational programs on EHR applications to physicians, providers, and staff
• Assess EHR competency levels and recommend actions to enhance performance and efficiency
• Research and track enhancement requests, coordinating with various stakeholders for implementation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience in a medical clinic or health care IT role
• Minimum three years of experience in a medical clinic setting or relevant health care IT role
• Epic credentialed trainer status or ability to achieve it within a designated timeframe
• Experience using Epic software in a medical clinic setting
