Job Summary

A company is looking for an American Sign Language Tutor.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide at least five hours of tutoring per week in American Sign Language
• Support students in language proficiency through grammar explanations, draft reviews, and skill development
• Attend tutor meetings, training sessions, and correspond with the Tutoring Coordinator and Assistant Director of Administration

Required Qualifications

• Advanced or near-native fluency in American Sign Language
• Intermediate-to-high proficiency in English
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience in the target language is preferred
• Graduate students preferred; advanced undergraduate students will be considered
• Familiarity with language teaching or pedagogy is preferred
