AmeriCorps Member
Job Summary
To support rural communities, eligible organizations can apply to host a full-time AmeriCorps Member from December 2026 to August 2027, who will engage in community asset mapping, build partnerships, and advance local priorities to enhance economic mobility for youth.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct community asset mapping and engage stakeholders to understand local strengths and needs
- Support strategic planning and project coordination to advance community initiatives
- Develop tools and resources to strengthen organizational capacity and community engagement
Required qualifications:
- Must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, government entity, or faith-based organization focused on non-religious activities
- Ability to provide dedicated supervision and a workspace for the AmeriCorps Member
- Commitment to draft a position description aimed at building organizational capacity
- Capacity to leverage local networks for candidate recruitment
- Willingness to establish a financial partnership to support the AmeriCorps Member's service
