AMISYS Developer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote AMISYS Developer to support healthcare payer technology initiatives by designing, developing, testing, and implementing complex AMISYS solutions while collaborating with business, IT, and vendor partners to meet client objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Independently analyze complex business problems and prepare detailed technical specifications
- Evaluate solution options and provide recommendations to management regarding development approaches
- Create and execute unit test plans while reviewing junior staff members' plans for completeness
Required qualifications:
- 5-7 years of AMISYS development experience in a healthcare payer environment
- Strong experience with AMISYS claims processing and EDI 837 inbound transactions
- Proficiency in at least one major database system, such as DB2 or SQL Server
- Experience with a development language commonly used in AMISYS environments, such as COBOL or Java
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or mathematics, or an associate degree in computer science
