Job Summary
To support a growing compliance program, the remote AML Investigator will conduct transaction monitoring and investigations, disposition alerts, trace on-chain activity, and document findings while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate and disposition transaction monitoring alerts related to potential fraud and unusual activity, ensuring a defensible audit trail
- Utilize blockchain analytics tools to analyze on-chain counterparty exposure and trace flagged activities
- Compile evidence and case summaries for suspicious activity reporting, supporting the overall compliance operations
Required qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in AML, financial crime, or fraud investigations, with a minimum of 1 year in blockchain or digital asset investigations
- Proficiency in tracing bitcoin transactions and understanding on-chain counterparty exposure
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to analyze public records and transaction data
- Working knowledge of BSA/AML obligations and common money laundering red flags
- Familiarity with blockchain analytics tools and a willingness to adopt AI tooling for investigations
