Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Model Validation Specialist (AML Transaction Monitoring) to validate, optimize, and enhance AML Transaction Monitoring models while ensuring regulatory compliance and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform independent validation of AML and Financial Crime models to meet regulatory standards
- Conduct threshold tuning and optimization of AML transaction monitoring scenarios to enhance detection effectiveness
- Develop comprehensive validation documentation, including reports and assessments, while analyzing large datasets for model enhancement opportunities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field
- 5-8 years of experience in AML Model Validation or Financial Crime Analytics
- Strong understanding of AML regulations and compliance frameworks
- Proven expertise in AML Transaction Monitoring threshold tuning and optimization
- Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis
