Analytics Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting a modern analytics ecosystem, the remote contract Analytics Engineer will develop scalable data models, optimize BI semantic layers, and lead the migration of BI tools while collaborating with stakeholders to enhance business insights.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement scalable, well-structured data models for business intelligence and analytics
• Simplify and optimize existing BI semantic layers, including Looker/LookML structures
• Lead efforts to migrate BI tools and rebuild dashboards, ensuring seamless transitions

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field
• At least 3 years of experience in analytics or data engineering roles
• Advanced proficiency in SQL with a solid understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling
• Hands-on experience with Looker and LookML, including semantic layer development
• Familiarity with modern data tools such as dbt, Airflow, and cloud data platforms like Snowflake or Redshift
