Analytics Engineer

Job Summary

To support their modern analytics ecosystem, the contract Analytics Engineer will work remotely for a duration of 10 to 26 weeks, focusing on developing scalable data models, optimizing BI semantic layers, and migrating BI tools while collaborating with stakeholders to enhance business insights.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement scalable, well-structured data models for business intelligence and analytics
• Simplify and optimize existing BI semantic layers, including Looker/LookML structures
• Lead efforts to migrate BI tools and rebuild dashboards, ensuring seamless transitions

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field
• At least 3 years of experience in analytics or data engineering roles
• Advanced proficiency in SQL with a solid understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling
• Hands-on experience with Looker and LookML, including semantic layer development
• Familiarity with modern data tools such as dbt, Airflow, and cloud data platforms like Snowflake or Redshift
