Analytics Engineer
Job Summary
To support a mission-driven organization focused on higher education, the full-time remote Analytics Engineer will evolve the shared data warehouse and implement data governance standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver insight-ready data.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Common App's reporting schema, refactoring tables and pipelines for performance and cost efficiency
- Design and implement automated data quality frameworks, including monitoring and alerting for critical datasets
- Collaborate with Data Governance to ensure technical enforceability of governance rules within the enterprise data platform
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
- 5-8 years of experience in analytics engineering or data engineering within an enterprise data warehouse environment
- Strong expertise in SQL and data modeling, including dimensional modeling and modern data transformation approaches
- Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines in cloud data warehouse platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery)
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering and analytics workloads
