Analytics Engineer
Job Summary
As a full-time remote Analytics Engineer on the Data Engineering Team, the successful candidate will lead the development of a comprehensive technical strategy for revitalizing data services and tooling, focusing on building scalable systems and a self-service analytics platform while ensuring the performance and reliability of data infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the technical architecture of the semantic and metrics layer, including infrastructure deployment and API design
- Manage the core governance infrastructure and oversee self-service analytics platform operations
- Drive performance optimization of Amazon Redshift and maintain platform health, including uptime monitoring and observability alerting
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Five plus years of experience in data engineering or platform engineering with ownership of production data infrastructure
- Deep experience tuning Amazon Redshift for performance and optimizing query execution
- Experience administering a data catalog or governance platform like Atlan or similar
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java, with a focus on automation and engineering efficiency
