Job Summary

To support the growth of Chess.com's mobile platform, the full-time Android Developer will develop and maintain high-quality Android applications, ensuring seamless gaming experiences for over 185 million global chess players in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Chess.com's flagship Android application to enhance mobile experiences for users
• Design and implement shared codebase architecture to improve development efficiency and code reusability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and optimize user experience

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience with production applications
• Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK development
• Hands-on experience with Android Architecture Components including ViewModels, Room, and Navigation
• Proficiency with asynchronous programming using Coroutines or RxJava
• Experience shipping Android applications to Google Play Store
