Anesthesia Coding Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coordinator of Anesthesia Coding Quality and Education.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the flow of medical record coded information for billing and reimbursement
• Ensure the completeness, accuracy, quality, and timely submission of medical data and documentation
• Design and evaluate educational programs to improve documentation practices and serve as a resource for providers and coding staff

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
• Associate's Degree in a healthcare-related field or five years of coding experience in lieu of education
• Certification in at least one coding specialty (e.g., RHIT, CPC, CCS)
• Thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and coding systems
• Five years of specialty coding experience preferred
