Anesthesia Coding QA Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the coding QA process, the full-time remote Anesthesia Coding QA Specialist III will manage clinical documentation reviews, ensure coding accuracy, and provide educational feedback to coders and providers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct coder QA and education, collaborating on performance improvement plans related to billing compliance
• Develop and present coding curriculums, maintaining operational workflow pathways and assisting coding leads
• Analyze coding data and assist with QA selection processes, while preparing tracking and trend reports

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant post-secondary education or equivalent hands-on experience
• National certification and a minimum of 5 years' experience in physician coding, specifically in anesthesia/pain management
• National coding certification (AHIMA, AAPC) required
• Experience in revenue cycle, claim processing, and compliance auditing preferred
• Strong presentation and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred
