Anesthesia Coding QA Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the coding QA process, the full-time remote Anesthesia Coding QA Specialist III will conduct coder education, review clinical documentation for compliance, and collaborate on performance improvement plans while ensuring coding accuracy and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Conducts coder QA and education as part of identified remediation
• Collaborates with management on performance improvement plans related to billing compliance or coding issues
• Prepares and presents coding and regulatory updates, maintaining operational workflow pathways

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant post-secondary education or equivalent hands-on experience
• National certification and a minimum of 5 years' experience in physician coding, particularly in anesthesia/pain management
• National coding certification (AHIMA, AAPC) required
• Experience in compliance auditing and anesthesia specialty coding education preferred
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
