Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Angular/NodeJS Developer will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS to serve EDI healthcare records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data delivery and support an Angular-based dashboard front-end
- Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews while applying best software engineering practices within an Agile framework
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 8+ years of software development experience with a strong back-end focus in Java and/or NodeJS
- Proven experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
- Hands-on experience with Angular and integrating APIs into front-end components
- Working knowledge of cloud services (AWS/Azure) and version control using Git/GitHub
