Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Anti-Abuse Engineer will manage abuse detection and incident response efforts, ensuring the security of the platform while collaborating with cross-functional teams to automate and optimize processes.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and triage abuse signals, ensuring timely responses and clear ownership of abuse cases
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating containment actions and conducting post-incident reviews to improve detection and remediation
- Build and automate detection logic and operational tools to enhance the efficiency of abuse management processes
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in security operations, trust & safety, or abuse engineering at a cloud-native platform
- Hands-on experience with detection logic, including writing rules and tuning thresholds in complex environments
- Proficiency in SQL and a scripting language, preferably Python, for log analysis and automation
- Familiarity with abuse actor techniques such as credential stuffing and account takeover
- Ability to operate asynchronously in a distributed team, with a focus on clear documentation and communication
