API Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an API Engineer I to support the development of APIs and integration components in healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain API endpoints, service enhancements, and bug fixes
• Support data transformation, validation, and integration tasks across backend services
• Assist with FHIR-related development, including payload handling, resource mappings, and testing

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of backend engineering experience
• Solid understanding of programming fundamentals, API design, and relational databases
• Experience with at least one modern backend programming language and common development tools
• Willingness to learn FHIR healthcare interoperability concepts and MCP-related implementation patterns
