API Gateway Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote API Gateway Engineer, the successful candidate will administer and support the Layer 7 API Gateway platform while collaborating with middleware and application teams to ensure secure and scalable API integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and support the Layer 7 API Gateway platform across environments
• Collaborate with middleware and application teams to enable secure and scalable API integrations
• Proactively monitor API traffic and incidents, ensuring high availability and quick resolution

Required qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in software engineering, API development, and distributed systems
• Strong hands-on experience with Layer 7 API Gateway, including policy management and API publishing
• Deep knowledge of security standards such as OAuth2, JWT, and SAML
• Experience with Agile SDLC and backlog management
• Familiarity with multi-region and multi-cloud architectures
