API Gateway Engineer
Job Summary
Providing surge support for API gateway products, the remote API Gateway Engineer will focus on gateway configuration, API migration, and CI/CD integration within government-approved boundaries.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support for gateway configuration, plugins/policies, routing, and developer portal configuration
- Assist in API migration wave preparation, test execution, and troubleshooting during government authorization
- Support CI/CD integration and governance validation for the approved gateway product
Required qualifications:
- Deep product-specific experience with Kong Enterprise, Kong Konnect, or comparable API gateway platforms
- Experience in API migration support, including dual-run troubleshooting and rollback validation
- CI/CD integration experience with Government-owned DevSecOps platforms
- Knowledge transfer and technical documentation experience in a federal delivery context
- Active IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) required
